In any particular fan there are about 10 modes, which could be modified if the customer chooses to do so. The more important ones are impellor, motor, PC board, and frame. Usually to create a new mode will cost, on average, US$10,000, and as high as US$16,000. If customers are willing to pay for this then it is possible. Based on this, there are a few options that may be presented to customer: 1. Customer pays the cost of tooling up front. 2. Customer pays it installments of ship schedules. 3. Customer leaves a deposit for the tooling and pay balance in the end. For ordinary customers, the last option is most favored.
